I wanted to take some time to tell you about a completed series of mine that is not getting a lot of action lately. This is a super spicy monster romance duology where the first book is from Effie’s POV (female main character) and the second book is from Xae’s POV (male main character).
Effie is a 30-something, pansexual, curvy, bad-bitch boss woman who came from nothing and made a very nice living for herself by being a high-end escort to monsters. Except, no one else knows they are monsters but her. She’s the only one on earth who can see through their glamours. And up until the timeline of this book, she never knew why.
Xae is a literal demon who has been searching for his fated mate for over 200 years. When he finally finds Effie, he doesn’t want to let her go. But consent is sexy… and it’s ultimately her choice. Can she give up the life she has built for herself on earth in exchange for something she never could have imagined was real?
Dancing with the Devil
It takes a special kind of woman to do what I do – kissing monsters.
To stare into the eyes of a monster and not flinch was a task in and of itself. But to let one kiss you… to go to bed with one… It was a dangerous job, but a rewarding one when completed successfully.
There’s a good reason I’m so good at my job: I was born for this. Literally. I left fear behind me in my childhood. Adult Effie gave no fucks. I was a force to be reckoned with, certainly.
But I was in this for something more. Something long-term. A fated mate who would give me something none of the others had been able to provide – love, peace, and eternity to rule by his side.
My own monster Prince Charming, like a needle in a haystack of wicked fun.
So far, I’d been at this for a number of years to no avail. Ever since that first monster came to me when I was 18 years old.
Now I was staring down the eve of my 35th birthday and my special someone had yet to appear in my life. I was beginning to wonder if he even existed. Maybe everything that fortune teller had told me was a bunch of BS; stories she made up for naïve people like me because she had bills to pay, too.
But if that were true, how did she know about the monsters?
Now it would all come to a head with a chance meeting, some monsters who break the rules, and a prophecy that didn’t quite mean what I thought it meant.
My name is Effie and tonight I’m dancing with the devil.
This novel contains sexual scenes and adult themes and is meant for readers 18+.

Throne of Hell
Xae had spent over 200 years searching the Earth realm for his fated mate.
At the very first time his eyes fell upon her, he knew it was her and he vowed to never let her go. It was because of this that he followed her and after she was kidnapped by some monsters who broke the sacred vow, he rescued her.
But it might not be love at first sight for independent Effie.
Effie doesn’t trust monsters and she doesn’t relinquish control to anyone. Xae has his work cut out for him to win her over. And Effie has her own demons to battle.
As he’s navigating the waters with his destined mate, they must both face the challenges that arise when others wish to tear down what they are building together. There are some who want Effie for themselves, and monsters and demons don’t fight fair.
Will Xae’droth finally win her over and bring her home to rule with him? Or is he destined to spend eternity with only his succubus Lilith to keep him company?
This book contains adult language and sexual situations and is meant for readers 18+.
Notes from the Author
Some things to note:
This book is full of sex. The literal plot revolves around sex. Also, my characters are queer. I write queer paranormal romance. It is never my intention to bait or trick readers and I do make this very clear in my categories, my bio, my book descriptions, etc.
That said, this series got some complaints because the main characters (particularly Effie) have sex with other people before meeting their fated mates. (And in one particular case, after meeting one another, as well).
Effie is pansexual. She likes all genders and all bodies. This is intentionally highlighted in her book, especially. She is an escort. Sometimes (when she chooses) her services will involve going home with dates and sleeping with them. It is always 100% consensual and this is something she enjoys doing. It’s also right there in the book description.
So, if you don’t want to read a book where the FMC boinks other people before meeting her fated mate, this is not the series for you.
In addition: there are different representations of gender throughout the book, with the “monsters” explaining they don’t see gender at all in their world, and there is one encounter with a monster who can change their genitalia at will.
There are also threesomes and ethnical non-monogamy, although this isn’t a central focus of the story. It is my belief that a couple can be “soulmates” or “fated mates” and still have romantic or sexual connections with other people, as well. And that is what I aimed to represent in this series.
If that doesn’t jive with you, that’s okay.
But my books are queer. I’m queer. And I don’t need the straights telling me how I should have written my books instead. If it’s not for you, then it wasn’t meant for you.
